Babatunde Michael replaces Mikel for Mali friendly

Super Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf has extended an invitation to Morocco –based midfielder Babatunde Michael to replace John Obi Mikel for two friendly matches against Mali and Luxembourg.

Nigeria play Mali on May 27 in France before traveling to face Luxemburg on June 1.

Mikel and Ahmed Musa have been ruled out of the two friendly games as they will be playing the testimonial match of former teammate Joseph Yobo.

Babatunde, who featured for Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, has played a total of 4649 minutes, 81 Appearances, 44 Lineups, 37 Substitutes, 21 Substitute out, 47 Substitute on bench, 6 Goals, 13 Yellow Cards, 0 Red Cards.

He has been in Ukraine from 2010 to 2015. He currently plays for Raja Casablanca of Morocco.
