Rangers, Heartland settle for barren draw

Heartland forced their host Enugu Rangers to a goalless draw in a week 18 game of the Nigeria Premier League on Friday night.

Rangers dominated and were handed a chance to take the lead when Bobby Clement was pulled down in the box by Zoumana Doumbia in the 41st minute.

Heartland coach Alphonsus Dike made five changes to the side held to a goalless draw by Plateau United in midweek.

Ebele Obi however saved Chisom Egbuchulam’s penalty ensuring both sides ended the first half without scoring a goal.

Rangers fought hard to register a goal after the break with Godwin, Clement and Egbuchulam all coming close to break the deadlock.
