The Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung was at the head of a long list of administrators, friends, family members, journalists and concerned persons who thronged the residence of late Coach Shuaibu Amodu in Surulere, Lagos on Saturday for the eighth day prayer for the departed NFF Technical Director.

Writing in the condolence register, Barr. Dalung noted: “Coach, is this life? You came and we discussed about the future of football in Nigeria but you suddenly disappeared. Why are the mighty falling?

“I will only ask God to reward you because humanity was not too kind to you. We didn’t know you but your work surpass everything. A great tree has fallen. There is darkness all over the place. Amodu, please give football in Nigeria light. Adieu.”
