MFM beat Ikorodu United in Lagos derby

MFM FC were 3-1 victorious over Ikorodu United in a Lagos derby played on Sunday at the Agege stadium.

The tie, a Match Day 25 encounter, saw the home side take the lead via a freekick that was blocked by goalkeeper James Fatunwase, and scored through a rebound by Sikiru Olatunbosun.

Ikorodu United equalized, thanks to Fatai Abdullahi’s well-taken penalty after Erhun Obanor fouled menacing Ebiye in the box and the referee did not hesitate to point to the spot in the 19th minute.

However, Odey netted from close range after the break as the Olukoya Boys retook the lead.

Ifeanyi’s penalty guaranteed victory for MFM ensuring all three Ikorodu United coaches lost all their first game in charge.
