Nigeria tennis starlet Michael Osewa has been reportedly denied entry visa by the French embassy to participate at the 2016 ITF U-14 European Tour.
Osewa was due for the European tour following his impressive performance at the African Junior Championship in Pretoria, South Africa, where he was selected for the five-week programme alongside three others from Seychelles, South Africa and Kenya.
The reason given by the French embassy, according to report available to Sportdaylive, was that Osewa’s documents were forged.
The tournament was scheduled from July 4 to August 7.
It could be recalled that recently, the Nigeria’s U-17 Basketball women’s team were denied visas by the Spanish Embassy for the World Championship.
