The Nigeria Football Federation has said financial constraints has forced it to stop the monthly salaries of all national teams’ assistant coaches.
Though the new development will take effect from January 2017, it also means only head coaches of all national teams will be on a monthly salary.
NFF said after its meeting on Wednesday that assistant coaches should look for substantive employment elsewhere.
“Executive Committee approved that henceforth, only the Head Coaches of the various National Teams will be on monthly salary, while assistant coaches will receive only bonuses and allowances.
“The assistant coaches presently in the NFF’s employ have been given till the end of this year to secure substantive employment elsewhere, as the Federation deals squarely with its financial constraints.
