Sunshine Stars coach Stanley Eguma is looking ahead to the rest of the Nigeria Premier League games after a 1-0 loss to Sunshine Stars on Saturday.
Dele Olorundare produced a moment of magic, four minutes before half time, to shoot Sunshine Stars past Rivers United in a fiercely-fought encounter.
Eguma said they prepared very hard to win the tie, but would look ahead after the defeat.
“It was a good game and we prepared very hard to win as a good result would have helped our position on the log.
“We have lost now and must look ahead because the league is getting tougher now.
“We must work hard and try to win the title or at the very least, get a ticket to represent Nigeria on the continent next season,” Eguma said.
The defeat leave United in third place on the log with 44 points, three adrift of the joint leaders, Wikki Tourists and Enugu Rangers who have both played a game more (27 matches as opposed to 26 played by United) .
