Former Everton defender Joseph Yobo has denied report he joined Nigeria Premier League side Kano Pillars.
Yobo was reported to have agreed with the League Management Company to play for a club in the Nigeria Professional Football League 2016/17 season in a way of promoting the game back home.
Then news broke out as the chairman of LMC Shehu Dikko was quoted as saying that Yobo had joined Kano Pillars.
But the former Super Eagles captain has distanced himself from such deal.
“I read that I was missing in action last weekend. I have not signed for Kano Pillars or any NPFL club. Yet.” Yobo tweeted on Thursday.
