German tactician Gernot Rohr has signed a two-year deal to as the new Technical Adviser of the Super, confirming Sportdaylive’s earlier report.
Sportdaylive had earlier reported that the German will sign a two-year contract that will see him take Nigeria to the Russia 2018 World Cup if they qualify.
The Nigeria Football Federation has now confirmed that Rohr will be in charge for the next two years.
“Mr. Gernot Rohr signs two-year contract to work with the NFF as Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles.” NFF wrote on its twitter handle.
The 63-year-old’s first assignment will be to qualify Nigeria for the Russia World Cup with fixtures beginning on October 3 away to Zambia.
