Gbolahan Salami continues to underline his worth as an attacker to be feared and respected in Finland’s Veikkausliiga (top division) with match winning performances and vital goals.
On Sunday, he delivered again, scoring the winner for Kuopion Palloseuraoy (KuPS) in the 1-0 win over PS Kemi as the competition entered matchday 33.
The former Warri Wolves attacker netted on 13 minutes to give his side the lead in front of 1441 supporters at Savon Sanomat Areena.
Sunday’s win for KuPS lifts them to seventh on the league standings with 49 points from 33 matches.
KuPS owe a lot of their good form this season to Salami’s potency in front of goal as the 25-year-old has now scored 15 goals in all competitions for the club.
