Former Super Eagles defender Joseph Yobo has joined Kano Pillars for the rest of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
In June, the League Management Company announced on its twitter handle that the former Everton defender will play the remaining 12 league matches for one of four clubs – FC IfeanyiUbah, Akwa United, Kano Pillars or Wikki Tourists, under the NPFL Elite Players Scheme. Though that has been delayed as the league has just five games remaining.
Chairman of the LMC Shehu Dikko has now revealed that Yobo has headed north.
Concerning when Yobo will make his debut, Dikko told Complete Sports “For now, that is being worked out, but we’re looking at the next (home) game.”
