Nigerian defender slumped and died

A Nigerian defender who plays for local club Kwara United in the Nigeria National League, has died.

Azeez Saka died after he slumped on the pitch during training on Friday. He was aged 24.

Born Zakaria Lasisi, the defender is the son of late table tennis coach Kasali Lasisi.

Azeez joined Kwara United in 2017 from Zamfara United and have played a game so far this season.
