Newly appointed Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr is off to Spain just after signing a two-year contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Though it is believed that the German will live and work in Nigeria (as one of the terms of the NFF), Rohr will head to Spain to watch the Nigeria Professional Football League All-Stars play against Atletico Madrid and Malaga.
According to the NFF, “Coach Rohr is scheduled to embark on VIP scouting immediately, which includes flying to Spain to watch the NPFL All-Stars play against Atletico Madrid and Malaga in Cadiz on Friday, in the Trofoe Carranza tournament,” an NFF statement read.
The 63-year old sealed the contract on Tuesday in Abuja.
His first major assignment is to lead the Super Eagles against Zambia on October 3 In a 2018 World Cup qualifier in Lusaka.
