This means no African team made it from the group stages of the Russia 2018 World Cup.

Most Africans had hoped Senegal will do the continent proud after they won their first game. The West Africans went on to draw their next game before suffering a defeat to Colombia.
Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Nigeria had crashed out before Senegal.
