The late former coach of the Super Eagles Shuaibu Amodu has been buried according to Islamic rites on Saturday.
Amodu, who died on Saturday morning after complaining of chest pain a day earlier, was aged 58.
Amodu was buried in his compound at Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State at about 5:30pm amidst weeping and wailing.
According to Tribune, between the arrival of the body and the interment, which lasted about five hours, family members, neighbours, journalists and residents of Okpella gathered in the late Amodu’s compound discussing his passage just three days after that of another former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi.
A funeral prayer for the late Shuaibu Amodu was observed, shortly after which he was interred.
Before the observation of the funeral rites and prayer, a special prayer, led by Ustaz Ahmed Shehu, was offered for the repose of the soul of the late coach of the defunct BCC Lions of Gboko.
