After 13 years playing for various clubs in Italy, Joel Obi is now set to exit the country, and Turkey may be the next destination.
Obi has played for Obi has played for Inter Milan, Parma, Torino, and now Chievo.
The Super Eagles midfielder is linked with a loan move to Turkish side, Alanyaspor from Chievo Verona.
The 27-year-old has made 11 appearances from the 19 games played so far for Chievo Verona and scored once in the Serie A this season for the Donkeys.
According to a report on Turkish media outlet Fanatik.com.tr Obi is currently in talks with Alanyaspor with a deal expected to be agreed before the end of the winter transfer window.
Obi has made 117 Serie A appearances scoring eight goals. He also made eight appearances in the UEFA Champions League and six in the Europa League for Inter Milan.
He made his debut for Nigeria in 2011 against Sierra Leone in Lagos and has featured 11 times for the three-time African champions.
Obi was also part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia but was an unused substitute at the tournament.
