Striker Victor Osimhen has signed a professional contract with German club Wolfsburg.
The former Golden Eaglets star turned 18 on December 29, 2016, joined the German top side on a three and half year deal.
“I want to thank the coach and the club management for this opportunity and the faith in me,” said Osimhen on BBC.
“Wolfsburg is the right place to start my career. Now it is up to me to give something back. I have to work hard and learn.”
Osimhen starred at the under-17 World Cup in October 2015, scoring 10 goals to help Nigeria win a record fifth title.
He was named the 2015 Confederation of African Football Youth Player of the Year at the award ceremony in Abuja last January.
